Management of the Commercial Excellence Initiatives across the Business Unit. Development of tools and processes to drive commercial efficiency and execution. Supports the VP CC Europe to follow-up major business KPI’s. Responsible for business development initiatives across the Country and develops investment projects:

Responsibilities

  • Support the VP CC Europe decisions with strategical inputs at the country level, while implements local plans that are align with the broader global strategy.

  • P&L ownership for Sales & Marketing CC business.

  • Ensuring effective financial planning; continually reviewing financial results to identify negative variances; developing action plans to address issues; managing expenses to budget and deliver targeted profit contribution.

  • Leverage market research and competitive intelligence to maximize market opportunities and identify potential barriers.

  • Continuous improvement on forecasting/reporting systems for sales and margins; ensuring integration across organizational functions and adaptability as the business grows; creating metrics to communicate/evaluate progress.

  • Setting the agenda for delivering an above market rate of growth and profitability expansion in line with corporate objectives.

  • Setting go-to-market strategy in line with BU direction and objectives in unison with the VP Europe and work closely with the other functions and franchises as appropriate.

  • Modelling and setting the company’s culture, values and behaviour, and leading by example, demonstrating trust, honesty, openness and integrity

  • Contributes to BU strategy by providing input about local external environment and customers.

  • Responsible for hiring, developing and retaining key talent and knowledge within the organization and for attracting the talent needed for the future.

  • Leadership role in assuring a motivated, committed and fully productive workforce.

  • Works collaboratively with functions to adapt global strategy to local health care environment.

  • Continuous improvement on forecasting/reporting systems for sales and margins; ensuring integration across organizational functions and adaptability as the business grows; creating metrics to communicate/evaluate progress.

  • Along with the sales leadership and training team own the implementation of the ConvaTec Salesforce Excellence program to drive efficient and effective use of our field resource.

  • Knows the local economic, market and industry trends and uses trend data to maximize opportunities and minimize risk exposure

  • Institutionalizes changes in culture, process, external relationships and business models

  • Delivers financial commitments to optimize short-term performance and long-term growth while ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies

  • Appropriately allocates resources to align with brand strategies

  • Collaborate and agree on appropriate budget goals aligned with external marketplace and internal strategy Duties and

  • Provides leadership and direction to the local team

  • Promotes teamwork and develops strong relationships between all functions whilst prioritising the most effective use of resources to achieve business goals.

  • Develop a high performance, team-oriented culture

  • Models accountability, coaching and commitment to employee development and team work

  • Working with HR development strategies and initiatives to develop talent

  • Develops trust through ethical and consistent behaviour

  • P&L, Revenue and/or Budget responsibilities

  • Achieves sales, share and EBITDA growth targets

  • Delivers short term financial commitments while protecting marketing opportunity medium term

  • Achievement of business results.

  • Develops strategies and plans to achieve appropriate access goals including pricing and reimbursement.

  • Local strategy leading the market to find new opportunities to extend product life cycle and services; new ideas implemented quickly; business strategies founded on critical success factors with measurable targets.

  • Business Intelligence and Market data analysis, Sales Force Bonus Target Construction & Payment, KPIs and Sales Force Dashboards

  • Drives continuous growth through the creation and sustaining of a high-performance culture and team. Motivating people to exceed targets and constantly revitalising the organisation and innovating in support of the objectives.

  • Represents ConvaTec interests with important external stakeholders as appropriate, e.g., government and regulatory officials, health care authorities, industry associations, key opinion leaders, physicians, patients, and advocates

  • Keeps the local management team and the broader organization focused, aligned, and integrated.

  • Creates teamwork among the employees, understand the importance of each business function.

  • Ensures the right people and resources are in place to achieve results.

  • Creates an environment of mutual respect and freedom to promote creative thinking and constructive disagreement. Facilitates decision-making and remove non-benefit works and processes.

  • Communicates and sets the example for compliance and business integrity.

  • Internal: VP CC Europe, Sales Director, Commercial Team, Marketing, HR & Finance, Medical, etc

  • External: National Accounts, Procurement, Wholesalers, Distributors, Industry Association, etc Language Skills Required French: Mother tongue or native level English: Fluent (speaking/writing/reading)

Education/Qualifications Required:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalency is required. Graduate degree in Business or undergraduate coursework in Business is desirable.

  • At least 5 years of experience in sales and marketing directive position.

  • At least 3 years at senior management level.

  • Medical Device or Pharmaceutical experience

  • Must have a solid foundation in Sales/Key Account Management and first-hand experience of working directly with sales people.

  • Solid understanding and knowledge of Marketing and Strategy definition (e.g. Marketing Plans, Business Plans, etc.)

  • Working in a complex matrix organization with proven ability to influence at a senior level

  • Demonstrable ability to manipulate, analyse and interpret data gathered from a variety of sources and, through effective decision-making, planning and implementation delivering superior business results.

  • Coordinate Commercial Sales Team, Product managers and Sales Directors and each other functions in the company.

    • Excellent commercial acumen and experience
    • Excellent negotiating, presentation and communication & influencing skills, written and verbal
  • Working with Homecare customers

  • Building a successful Sales team, ideally starting with a small business and growing it very fast

  • Effective Customer Segmentation & Targeting Requirement:

  • Strong numerical & analytical skill and attention to detail.

  • Leadership with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Working Conditions Office based, full time role. Flexibility and willingness to travel within the country and across Europe
